The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department's carnival begins next week with special events Wednesday, June 16 through Saturday, June 19. Wednesday is family night, Thursday the big parade starting at 7 p.m., Friday the queen will be crowned, and Saturday will be the grand prize drawing.
The carnival will be at the fairgrounds in Amissville just off Route 211.
Donations of food for the box suppers would be appreciated • Anyone donating fried chicken, poato salad or deviled eggs should bring them to the fire hall by 1 p.m. Thursday. June 17.
Donations of cakes and pies can be used any other night of the carnival.
