By the end of last week. Rappahannock’s cross country conligent had picked up a few more members. Senior Larrv Sisk who ran either two or three last year, alternating with Ronnie Atkins, was back. Carlo Caperton an eighth grader, joined John Dodson on (he jayvee team. Spieker was still wailing for a timed run from newcomer Ricky Jenkins, a ninth grader, to determine whether he’d race at the varsity or jayvee level.

Competing in the realigned Bull Run District this season for the first time, Spieker expects Rappahannock's toughest opponent to be Clarke County High Scool. ’’They've got just about everyone returning and they were strong last year,” she noted. “Were about even with Stonewall so I expect it to be a real battle for second place in the district but I think we'll take it." Spieker concluded, predicting that RCHS will finish as Bull Run’s runner-up.

BSA Contest

The Eastman Kodak Company is sponsoring the ninth annual Bov Scouts of America Photo Scholarship Awards program.

Qualifications require entrants to have earned the Photography Merit Badge, be II but not yet 16 years of age and registered as a Boy Scout. Deadline for receiving entries is October I. 1982, at the National Council.
