Whipped lopping (optional)
Cut 2 nectarines in pieces. Puree with lemon juice in blender, food processor, food mill or by forcing through sieve with wooden spoon (you should have I cup); set aside. In top of double boiler or heatproof bowl set over simmering water, partially melt marshmallows, stirring ocasionally. Add puree; stir until well blended. Remove from heat. Fold in whipped cream. Turn into 8-inch square metal pan. Cover and free/e until firm. Let soften 30 minutes in refrigerator, then layer in 4 parfait glasses with remaining 2 nectarines cut in thin wedges. Serve with lopping. Makes 4 servings.
