Samuel D. Snead and Cary Gordon Thornhill have been elected to the Flint Hill Advisory Board of Farmers and Merchants National Bank.

Snead, a native of Washington, is an orchard ist and real estate broker. He is a graduate of Randolph Macon Academy and attended both the University of Virginia Extension at Madison and Armstrong State College in Savannah. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served in Viet Nam during 1968 and 1969.

Snead is married to the former Helen Treesa Dillion and is a member of the Washington Baptist Church. He is a director of the Piedmont Board of Realtors and the Rappahannock Farm Bureau. He is also a past director of the Virginia Horticultural Society. In addition, he is also a member of the Rappahannock’ Moose and the Rappahannock Historical Society.
