Besides serving com, barbecuing a pig and assisting in the many activities in town on July 4, the Washington Fire and Rescue Crew participated in five rescue efforts on that busy day. ‘This is the most calls we’ve ever had in one day,” said Washington Fire Chief Roger Roach. “It couldn’t have happened at a busier time.”
