ne wedding of Hazel Marie Zinn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank R. Zinn of Culpeper, to Kevin Davies Day, son of Mrs. Eileen M. Day-Dwyer of Sperryville and Walter 0. Day of Arlington took place at 2 o’clock on Sunday, June 19, 1983, on the lawn of the bride’s parents.
The Rev. Harold Carter, pastor of New Salem Baptist Church performed the double ring ceremony in a setting of floral arrangements. Bill Abernathy, Linda Heminstra and Vincent Day provided the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of white chiffon, accented with silk Venice lace at the Queen Anne neckline and bishop sleeves. The full chiffon skirt ended in a chapel train with Venice lace appliques.
She carried a bouquet of pink bridal roses, miniature white carnations and baby’s breath.
Debbie Zinn of Culpeper was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a mauve long gown and carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations.
Bridesmaids were Lisa Jenkins of Culpeper, CeAnn Marlor of Slate Mills and Raven Yates of Griffinsburg. They wore gowns of blue, yellow and orchid, respectively and carried matching bouquets of carnations and baby’s breath.
Katie Herzik of Manassas, niece of the groom was flower girl and Philip Herzik of Manassas, nephew of the groom was ringbearer.
Bill Snead of Colorado was best man. Ushers were Champlin Carney and Vincent Day, both of Woodville and Eric Kvames of Washington.
Mrs. Lettie Mae Glens of Fredericksburg, was at the guest book.
Serving the punch were Liesa Tilley Jenkins of Fairfax and Kelly Day of Sumerduck.
