A company that offers micro-wave long distance telephone service is making preliminary inquiries concerning the erection of a 250 foot communication tower on Bessie Bell Mountain near Woodville.
At the board of supervisors meeting last Wednesday, June 6, zoning administrator David Konick reported that he has been contacted by M. C. Telecommunications Corporation for information on procedures for securing necessary zoning approval. He distributed copies of his answering letter dated June 17 to Robert McGinnis of MCTC. The letter noted that Rappahannock’s new zoning ordinance will be in effect by August or September and if the revised version is adopted as proposed at present by the planning commission, then communications towers such as that sought on Bessie Bell will be allowed by special exception permit
