EMT Course Announced
An Emergency Medical Technician Course (EMT-A) will be conducted at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, Va. beginning Monday. August 1, 1983 at 7:00 p.m. - The course is approximately 120 hours duration, will meet each Monday and Thursday evenings between 8 and 10 p.m., and will end November 17, 1983. Successful graduates will be certified as Emergency Medical Technicians-Ambulance.
This course is open to Fauquier, Culpeper, and Rappahannock residents who are eighteen or older. Enrollment is limited to 25 students, with priority given to those applicants who are interested in becoming active members of a volunteer rescue squad. The cost of the course is limited to the cost of the books, which is $15.00.

Special Program At
Amissville Methodist
“Footsteps” from Richmond will present a program in which they act out scripture at the Amissville United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 24 at 7 p.m.
The public is invited to come and see these youne people and children share their calling from God. Refreshments will be served following the program.
Berry Reunion
Relatives and friends of James Adron and Bertha Ellen Clark Berry are invited to a reunion on Saturday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m. at the Rappahannock County Park near Washington. Those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch.
Diva At Gay Street Theater
Diva, a remarkably fresh and original work by Jean-Jaques Bainiex, is a romantic thriller about an opera-loving 18-year-old who becomes unwittingly tangled in a web of passion and intrige. Rated R.
Diva will be shown by the RAAC film club Saturday at 8:00, Sunday at 7:00, both at the theater on Gay Street.
Evening With “Pops”
The Sheandoah Valley Music Festival presents an evening with the “pops” on Friday, July 29, at 8. The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of William Hudson, will perform popular music by Richard Rodgers, Jerome Kern, John Philip Sousa and George Gershwin.
Fague Springman, baritone, will join the orchestra for selections from South Pacific, and Santiago Rodriguez, a 1981 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition prizewinner, will play Gershwin’s American classic "Rhapsody in Blue”.
Steve Ember, well known WETA-FM Washington, I). C. radio personality and host on the nationaly syndicated music program, PM, will be master of ceremonies at the evening’s concert.
