Salvage Rights
In response to a claim from Baugh Construction Company, contractors for the renovation of the county jail, Baumgardner advised the supervisors that the county holds title to materials salvaged from the job.
Thornhill Endorsed
Following an executive session with Bob Tudor from district extension headquarters in Warrenton, the supervisors unanimously endorsed Birgitt Thornhill for the post of agricultural extension agent for the county. Previously Rappahannock’s home demonstration agent, Thornhill has been filling the agricultural slot since the retirement of Rap Owings last April. According to Thornhill, a new home demonstration who will also handle the county’s 4-H programs will be hired.
