The Rappahannock Garden Club recently held their Christmas luncheon at the Bowling Green Country Club in Front Royal.
Helen Bridges, Dorothy Davis and Jane Peterson were hostesses to a delicious luncheon. There were 50^members and 10 guests present.
- Cathryn Kneupfer, cMirman, gave her greens workshop rep&itJJne hundred and six wreaths were made of both mixed greens and boxwood. Four hundred and fifty-five and a half feet of garlands were made on mixed greens, and 25 swags and sprays were made by ,'Christine Johnston and Dorothy Davis. ✓One hundred and thirty-seven red and •een bows were made by Lydagene uth.
The club’s proceeds helps two students to go to nature camp in the summer time.
“The Maples”, home of Newbill and Carol Miller, was the object of the R.G.C. Christmas decorations. All greens and tree ornaments were made by the members. Florence Nordone and Christine Johnston, co-chairmen of the event, reported 190 people visited the home and grounds between the hours of 2-8 p.m. Cookies and a Wassful drink were served.
