To the editor:
Only in Rappahannock County—a very special place to live—could so many make a holiday season so special to those who needed that extra boost.
A very special thanks to all the local churches who helped in so many special ways; to the students of Rappahannock and their families for their food contributions; to the local civic groups and their members, especially the Jaycees for their toy donations and the Lions Club for their time and energy; and to each and every private citizen of the County who remembered others with their time, money, food and whatever else was needed.
I wish to personally thank all our volunteers who really made all this possible and helped put this Christmas together. A very special thanks to my staff who devoted so much time and patience to see that everything went smoothly: Mary Wilkins, Nancy Reeve, Janice Moffett, Marie Davis, Frances Smith, Debbie DeBergh and Russie Miller.
