Art Of Clowning Class Planned
Now is your chance to become a clown—a real clown! The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an 8 week class on the Art of Clowning. Classes will be held on Wednesday nights, 7:309:30 p.m. beginning January 9 at Fauquier High School. Tuition is $28. Cost of make-up and supplies are extra (approximately $10) payable to instructor. ,
The course covers the history and ethics of clowning, types of clowns, make-up application, wardrobe selection and entertainment techniques. The course is the same program taught at NVCC by LuSilly the Clown, a professional clown instructor. The course is open to adults and children age 10 and above.
Completion of the class is required to join the Laff-a-Lot Clown Alley, a group of professional clowns from Fauquier and Prince William Counties.

“People That Love Center” Open
“People That Love Center” under the direction of Sally Dunphy is open each Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Center is located in the old school building on Mt. Salem Avenue, Route 626 off Route 211 in Washington.
The program is designed to offer food, clothing, furniture or other emergency assistance to those in need. For further information phone 987-8605.
County-Wide Homemaker Club May begin
If you are interested in joining a county-wide Extension Homemaker Club call the Extension office at 675-3619 or Helen Gutherie at 987-8803. Plans are to meet during the day. This is open to all people re gardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap or political affiliation.
Supervision Course Offered
The Marketing Distributive Education Department of Culpeper County Schools is sponsoring a course in “Effective Supervision, Part II”. The course will be offered for four weeks at Culpeper County High School beginning on January 10. Also being offered is a 2 1/2 hour “Tax Workshop for Small Business Owners” seminar on January 17 at the Second National Bank in Culpeper.
