Historical Society Meeting

The Rappahannock Historical Society will meet on Friday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Historical Building on Gay Street in Washington. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.

Aerobic Dance Classes To Begin

An eight week session of Rappahannock Aerobic Dance classes will begin Wednesday, January 2. Morning classes will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday and Fridays at the Flint Hill fire hall. Afternoon classes begin at 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the fire hall. A babysitter will be available at both classes.

The evening classes will be at the Rapppahannock Elementary School at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. New students are welcome. For additional information call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887.

“Spinal Tap”

This is an affectionate and witty parody of the life, career, and travels of a fictious rock musical group whose talent for satire, comedy, and surprisingly, music drew rave reviews from such disparate critics as Newsweek, The Village Voice, New York Times and Boston Globe. It will be shown at Gay Street Theatre in Washington on Saturday and Sunday, January 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. It’s 83 minutes long and rated PG.

'Homemakers To Meet

The Flint Hill Homemaker’s Club wall meet on Tuesday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Earl Duvall. All members are asked to attend.

Attention 4-H’ers 13-19

“Summer-in-the Winter Festival” will be held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center February 1-3, 1985. The theme is FAME (Four-H’ers Are Most Entertaining, Energetic, Enthusiastic, and Exciting).

The festival will begin on Friday evening, Feb. 1, with registration being held between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. It will end at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3. There are a lot of fun things planned for the weekend. Call the Extension office to receive your schedule and plan to register by January 21. Tell friends! The cost for the weekend is $30.

Sperryville 4-H Club To Meet

The Sperryville Community 4-H Club will meet on Monday, January 21 at 7 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. All area youth between th< ages of 9 and 19 are invited to participate.
