Family Planning Course Offered
A course in the modem natural methods of family planning will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Warrenton, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on January 10. The course consists of one two-hour session each month for four months and is taught by a Certified Teaching Couple of the Couple to Couple League.
The method taught by the Couple to Couple League is a system of fertility awareness in which symptoms of female fertility are used in a cross-checking way for greatest reliability and confidence. This system is as effective as any artificial form of contraceptive w ithout incurring a health risk. Modem natural family planning is NOT “Rhythm”. It has an effectiveness level of 99 percent in actual practice and is used by many couples to either plan a pregnancy or avoid a pregnancy.
The instruction covers the science and art of natural family planning as well as the Christian philosophy regarding the proper'use-of sexual functions.

“Give A Dog A Bone” FUm To Be

Tea, cookies and the special Christmas film, “Give A Dog A Bon-,” will mark the Science Museum of Virginia’s celebration of the holi-lay season in the English tradition on Friday, January 4.
Between 3 and 5 p.m., Museum visitors will be able to see this traditional film which was made from an English “pantomine.”
“Qive A Dog A Bone” was written by two Englishmen, Peter Howard and George Fraser, in the late 1960’s as an alternative to the low comedy adult shows which had become popular in the English theater between the 1950’s and early sixties.
Museum visitors will also be able to epjoy English tea and cookies which will be served in the Museum forum before the film showing. Tickets to “Give A Dog A Bone” are required and may be purchased for $1 from the Museum store on a first-come, first served basis. The Science Museum is located at 2500 West Broad Street, Richmond. Parking is free.
