John Guthrie of Castleton is proud of his son and namesake who lives and runs in Florida. The younger Guthrie has recently won a 10 kilometer race, and placed second in a 30 kilometer race.
The 29 year old Guthrie has been running ever since his senior year in high school according to his father. “He was a little small for football, although he did play football on a boys’ club team,” said Guthrie. “He got into it for the exercise since a lot of his friends were health nuts.”
