The contribution of the arts and of artists in Virginia will be recognized by the Second Governor’s Awards for the Arts. Excellence and support for the arts will be celebrated for a week in May throughout the state, concluding with an Awards Dinner with Governor Charles Robb on Saturday, May 18, 1986. Eight awards will be given artists, producing and presenting arts organizations and businesses which encourage and support the arts.
