Cindy Dodson and Halbert D. Brooks III received the Daughters of the of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award from the DAR’s Culpeper Minute Men Chapter on Thursday, January 10. The awards are given each year to a senior in each high school who demonstrates the most outstandin qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism. Dodson was chosen to represent Rappahannock County High School, and Brooks was chosen as the representative from Wakefield School.
Dodson has been a member of the Future Homemakers of America, the Future Business Leaders of America, the National Honor Society and tne Quintessance Merit Club. She also participated in intramural volleyball, has been an office aide and was in the gifted and talented program in the eighth grade.
Dodson has received awards for superior work in Algebra II, for the highest averages in Trigonometry and English, for outstanding service and contributions to Earth Science and for perfect attendance. She has been on the honor roll each high school year, has received the presidential physical fitness award six times, has received a letter in the National Honor Society
