Those visiting F.R. Frazier and his nurse maid last weekend were Mrs. Agnes Holdren of Camp Spring, Md., Holtzman Frazier of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Howard Jenkins, Mrs. Alfred Jenkins and Mrs. Virginia Hoffman, all of Culpeper.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hash were Captain and Mrs. Robert K. Sanford and son, Nathan of Petersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Happy Hash, Rachel, Bethany and Ryan of Springfield.
Mrs. A.E. Goodard was in Richmond last week attending the National Association of Social Workers meeting at the Marriott Hotel, where she hosted a breakfast for members of the General Assembly on Thursday.
Sympathy of our community goes out to Mrs. Joseph Powers and family to Mrs. David Smoot and family on the loss of their loved ones and also to Mr . Bessie Aylor on the passing of her brother.
Mr. and Mrs. James Peyton visited Mrs. Alvin Atkins in Sperryville on Sunday afternoon.
J. Stant Weaver has returned to his home in Washington following a stay with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Peneranda after being released from Fauquier Hospital.

Garden Club News

The Rappahannock Garden Club met recently at “Back of Beyond,” the home of Caroline Doub.
Refreshments wera served by Mrs. Doub assisted by Mary Stewart Bain and Dorothy Mank.
The president, Helen Holschuh called the meeting to order. There were 28 members present and 21 exhibits to be judged by Florence Nordone and Martha Sutherland.
James Bankston showed slides on wildlife and birds of Virginia.
Mary Stewart Bain gave a report on Nature Camp. There will be five students going to camp this summer. Gina Manwaring and Christie Pendleton will be sponored by the Rappahannock Garden Club.
Jane Herndon was elected to the Scholarship Board.
The president announced the state Garden Club will be in Lynchburg on April 22,23 and 24.
The flower exhibits were judged and first prize went to Celene Siira, second to Mary Stewart Bain, third to Virginia Pennington and honorable mention to Jewelle Jewele.
In the foliage plant division first prize went to Helen Platt, second to Mary Marocchi, third to Sally Sharp and hnorable mention to Helen Fairfax and Dorothy Huff.
