John Paul Woodard, Sr., 70, of Culpeper, died Saturday, January 19 at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Woodard was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation and was a member of Alum Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Compton Woodard of Culpeper; two sons, John Paul Woodard, Jr. of Culpeper and Robert E. Woodard of Wytheville; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Lee Bryant and Mrs. Mildred Gore, both of Culpeper and Mrs. Bessie Aylor of Boston; two nephews and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at Moody Funeral Service in Culpeper by the Rev. David Lavery and the Rev. Leslie Napier. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James J. Dunford, Claude Berry, Randolph Kinsey, Fred G. Scott, W.T. Beales, Jr. and Pratt Brown.
