Miss Lou pilen Thornhill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Thornhill of Boston became the bride of Elwood Franklin Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood D. Jenkins of Sperryville on Saturday, October 20 at 5 p.m.
The Reverend Donald L. Bowden, Jr. of Stevensburg officiated at the candlelight, double-ring ceremony performed at the Culpeper Baptist Church. Mrs. Michelle Atkins was the wedding coordinator.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory sheer ganza. The fitted bodice was accented with venise lace and a cameo broach. The full skirt and chapel train were bordered with lace fleurettes. The walking length veil of English illusion was edged with matching venise lace. She carried a bouquet of long stem white roses, plum carnations and baby’s breath.
Maid of honor was Angela Butler of Boston. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Butler of Richmond and Tammy Butler of Boston. The attendants wore floor length dresses of plum taffeta and carried bouquets of long stem white roses and mauve exotic lilies.
