Golden givers and Sponsors of the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Foundation were honored by the Board of Directors of the foundation at a luncheon December 12 at the hospital.
Receiving personal Golden Giver plaques in recognition of their contributions of $1000 or more were Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Allen, Jr., Communications Corporation of America,. Central Fidelity Bank, Culpeper Stone Company, Merchants Grocery, Dr. and Mrs. Robert Rutkowski and Mrs. Lewis L. Strauss. ,
plaques in recognition of contributions of $500 or more were the CMH Auxiliary, Mr. and Mrs. J. Clifford Miller, Jr., and the Second National Bank.
This occasion marked the end of the successful Charter Year of Membership in the Foundation and the beginning of a new membership year. The Charter Year succeeded in raising over $28,315.00 for the foundation with 650 families joining the foundation.
John M. Fisher, President of the Foundation Board, spoke to the group about the purpose of the foundation and its future directions. W. A. Gravely, Jr., President of Culpeper Memorial Hospital, addressed happenings in the hospital. Charlotte C. Cannon, acting director of the foundation, spoke on the accomplishments of the foundation this year.
