A grand jury Monday indicted Johnny Paul Taylor of Norfolk on the charge of escaping from a road gang near Woodville. The case was set for the March term of Rappahannock County Circuit Court. Taylor was working in the road gang near Woodville when he escaped into the mountain nearby. He was apprehended later by Trooper F.H. Lasley when he attempted to hitch hike a ride after nightfall.

Board of Supervisor has asked the Virginia State Corporation Commission for reconsideration of a permit which it granted on June 11, 1970 to the Potomac Edison Company of Virginia for construction of a 138 KV transmission line from its existing Riverton station in Warren Co., for a distance of approximately 30 miles, most of it through Rappahannodc Co. to a proposed 138 KV step down substation located at Boston in Culpeper Co.
A car and truck were involved in a collision in Amissville on Rt. 211 yesterday morning. Charlie Compton of Amissville operating a 71 Ford was attempting to turn around and was struck by a 67 Fo^l truck. The truck, operated by Cordell Conrad of Toledo, Ohio, was traveling west on the highway.
John Trapp of Amissville is a patient in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, with a severely injured hand which he cut with a wood saw on the last day of the year.
