Mary Mallory
Mary S. Mallory, 90, of Annaburg Manor Nursing Home, Manassas, formerly of Flint Hill, died March 2.
Mre. Mallory was bom June 11, 1896, in Albemarle County. She was the widow of Benjamin Mallory.
She is survived by three sons, Bei\jamin Mallory, Chester Gap, Eddie and Page Mallory, Flint Hill, a brother William Toombs, Flint Hill, a sister Gertie Fair, Harrisburg, Pa., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted today, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the Flint Hill Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Merlin Shorb.
Lenten series
begin at Trinity
The annual community Lenten series at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington will begin on Wednesday, March 11. This series is jointly sponsored by Trinity Church, Washington Baptist Church, St. Peter's Catholic Mission, Reynolds Memorial Church and the Rappahannock Methodist Charge.
The theme this year is “The Christian Family: Diversity and Unity” and will involve sharing and discussion of the richness each denomination brings to our common Christian experience. A potluck supper will begin at 6:15 p.m., with singing and program following at about 7 p.m. A nursery will be provided during the program. The community is invited to attend.
