On March 13, at 8 p.m., Sid and Margaret Gottieib will discuss and demonstrate folk dancing from around the world at the Gay Street Theatre in Washington. This fourth program of the Rappahannock County Library's Second Friday series is again being presented in cooperation with the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC). The Gottleibs have been avid folk dance enthusiasts since the 1950s, but their interest in and study of this form of community expression has continued and increased and they bring to their audiences a conviction that all who wish to dance can do so. Although they always emphasize that this dance form requires no partners and therefore does not necessitate coupling-up to be enjoyed, the Gottleibs admit that continued enjoyment of this recreational activity may have that effect. The Gottleibs are, in fact, testimony to that truth. They met in California at a dance. Sid had been introduced to folk dancing in Wisconsin and carried his enthusiasm with him to California. There, Margaret had also discovered folk dancing, and through it they met. Among their many other activities and pursuits, they have continued to maintain a strong interest in this art form. - The Gottleibs have studied this form of cultural expression in many countries, have contributed to books and records on the subject, and

rep to visit Seventh District Repi resentative D. French Slaughter Jr. will send his District Representative, Jane Clatterbuck, to Rappahannock County on Wednesday, March 11. Mrs. Clatterbuck will be available to talk with constituents who have problems of a Federal nature or who wish to express their opinions on national legislative issues, or simply to discuss matters of concern. She will be in Rappahannock County at the Courthouse from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
