The Boston, Va., company, run by Greaner Neal, will have a big stoneware cooler full of their special Spiced Fruit Tea, which they recommend as a thirst quencher for a hot summer w eekend barbecue. For corn on the cob, they make a savory and marjoram butter blend that visitors can sample.
Mr. Neal also makes a dill and oregano blend which he recommends with a country potato salad. For those who like tossed salads, he makes a great selection of herbal vinegars, including basil and garlic, and French tarragon.
All of these accompaniments will be available, as well as copies of Mr. Neal’s popular recipes for Fancy Green Beans, Easy Dill & Garlic Bread, and Savory Chicken.
The Mountain Store will also have its traditional door prize contest with a U.S. flag kit as the grand prize. A Fourth of July coloring contest is in progress, with prizes for all age groups.
