Sadie Foster

Sadie Mary Foster, 80, of Flint Hill, widow of Spencer Edward Foster, died May 30 at Culpeper Health Care Center.

Mrs. Foster was a native of Rappahannock, the daughter of the late George Thomas and Etta French Smoot. She was a member of Massanova Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by three sons, William (Pete) Foster, Centreville, Earl T. Foster, Amissville and Roger L. Foster, Sterling; five brothers, Harvey Smoot, Clabert Smoot and Bill Smoot, all of Washington, Arthur Smoot, Flint Hill and Bernard Smoot, Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, Carrie Kines and Beatrice Fletcher, both of Front Royal; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was also the mother of the late George Henry Foster and the late Helen Virginia Foster.

A funeral was held June 2 at GeesKfohnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Phil Derry officiating. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
