The community is especially proud of all the coaches and others associated with the League who give tirelessly of their time and energy to help our kids.
Thanks to the following businesses for donating their services: Rappawan Excavating, Front Royal, 636-4137 for grading and excavating; Richard Compton 675-3484 for fine grading and raking; I-Deal Lawn Service 347-0594 for mowing and weed-eating; and Craig Wilson Welding 937-4703 for helping construct the backstops. Without these civic-minded folks we wouldn’t have these great facilities for our kids to play ball.
Congratulations to Wanda and Bucky Dawson at the birth of Anna Jo on May 23 and to Connie and Tom Owens at the birth of Anna Victoria on May 30.
Teresa and Ron Jones will celebrate their anniversary on June 14.
James and Marjorie Pyne have announced the engagement of their daughter Rebecca Lynn to Douglas Jenkins Jr., son of Douglas W. and Phyllis Jenkins Sr. An August wedding is planned.
Our thoughts and prayers continue with Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Zinn. He remains in Culpeper Hospital, while Mrs. Zinn has suffered a setback.
