Amissville Ruritan barbeque is set for Saturday, July 8, at the fire house. This is one of the main fundraisers for the Ruritans. Work on the community center will resume soon. It is hoped many in the community will be able to donate some time to help on this project. Anyone with a machine/crane able to lift the trusses should contact Jim Ryan at, 937-5177.

Amissville United Methodist Women will have their monthly meeting following lunch at Graves Mountain Lodge near Syria on June 14. They will depart the church at 11 a.m. For more details call Pauline Latham at 937-4515.

Congressman Slaughter’s rep Jane Clatterbuck will be at the Rappahannock County courthouse from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14. She will meet with constituents to discuss any problems of a federal nature or issues before the U.S. Congress.

Massanova Pentecostal Church will hold a revival June 20 through 27 at 7:30 nightly. Guest speaker will be Rev. Benny Sutherland from Dayton, Ohio. Homecoming will be held on Sunday, June 25. Everyone is invited.
