The following dogs have been picked up by Animal Warden Ray Pullen and are being held at the county’s animal shelter in Amissville. Call Tracey Clark at the shelter (703-937-3283 or 9373336) for more information about these animals.
• Yellow labrador mix: adult male, red nylon collar, found near Ben Venue.
• Boxer/bull terrier mix puppies: six to seven weeks old, need homes.
• Boxer/bull terrier mix: adult female, just had puppies, white with tan and black, found on Route 707 near Slate Mills.
• Boxer mix: adult male, long tail, found on Route 707 in Slate Mills area.
• Labrador mix puppies: six, about seven weeks old.
• Australian sheepdog mix puppies: two males, one female, Blue Merrill type, one tan.
• German shepherd: male, about one year old, black and tan, found on Route 647 near Flint Hill.
• Beagles: two, found on Route 637 in Amissville/'
All of the above listed animals are ready for adoption, and all are suitable for good family homes. Residents interested in adopting any of these animals should call Mrs. Clark at the shelter. “Crowding is becoming a problem” at the pound, she added.
