“I have spent my time split between working with the kids and working with the farmers,” said Mr. Williams. “I guess besides this, the project I have been most proud of is the Water Quality Testing Program we did here a couple of years ago.”
“For years I had heard that farmers were contaminating the whole world,” said Mr. Williams. “Our study proved that that is just not so. Our study tested ground water throughout the county and the only water that showed any significant amount of contaminent proved to come from termite application.”
“The bottom line is that all of us should be working together to combat this problem,” he added.
“However, farmers are generally very careful about pesticide application,” he pointed out. “After all, this is an expense that comes out of their overhead and they have to be careful as opposed to residents of a county
