Margaret Dodson, EHC Environmental chairman, reminds us the hours at the landfill in Amissville are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

Reminder, you do not have to be a Rappahannock County resident to recycle at the landfill. Anyone may take their tin and aluminum cans, plastics* and glass to the site for recycling. Rinse bottles and cans if

possible, but labels do not have to be removed. You may also take your newspapers to the site, try to remove the “shiny” inserts before placing them in the trailer. Remember, reduce, re-use, and recycle!
