gave. . .” should not have been “the;” it should have been “me.” Make that change and the very reason for the letter becomes evident. The word “the” creates an unsolvable puzzle. Also, two words later, following the word “billing” there should have appeared the initial mark of a pair of parentheses marks. I hope chaos is now reduced to comprehensible order.

A third apology is due here. On the reverse side of my original letter was a postscript which never made it into print. As it referred to the gifted pianist who provided the musical expression of Sullivan’s genius I want my appreciation of her contribution to be recorded here.

To the Editor:

This is a letter I have been meaning to write for a couple years now. The thoughts expressed herein are long overdue.

My family and I wish to thank the personnel and medical staff of the Rappahannock Medical Center, Washington, Va. for years and years of fine service.

In our opinion, we here in Rappahannock County are certainly lucky
