Besides answering a lot of questions for the farmers, (what he doesn’t know, he researches and finds out), Mr. Williams has spent considerable time with the 4-H kids, hiking, sailing and pursuing a number of other activities geared towards wholesome and educational activities for young people.
It is this hands-on approach to his job that has won him such wide acclaim throughout the county. A number of photograph displays in his office chronicle his many trips with the 4-H’ers. It is obvious that these photographs and the experiences they represent mean as much to him as they did to all of the children involved.
The eighth agent since the inception of the Farm Extension in Rappahannock in 1924, Mr. Williams will be remembered as one of the best.
