Violet Jackson

Violet R. Jackson, 84, of Middletown, formerly of Front Royal, died Monday, Dec. 21 at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home in Winchester.

The funeral was conducted Saturday, Dec. 26 at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Front Royal by Bill Jenkins. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal.

Mrs. Jackson was born June 3, 1908, in Warren County, the daughter of the late Thornton and Nancy Baker Renzy. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall and wife of the late Edward D. Jackson.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel Jackson of Clarksburg, W.Va. and William Jackson of Front Royal; four daughters, Julia Jett of Huntly, Nancy Porter and Violet Farmer, both of Alexandria and Ethel Clarke of Middletown; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Friends served as pallbearers.

Arrangements were handled by the Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester.
