Eve accident
According to Virginia State Police, Robert E. Frye, 44, of Castleton was injured on Christmas Eve, following an accident on Route 729. Sgt. D.S. Adams of Warrenton said that Trooper C. R. Perkey investigated the accident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m. nearly 1.5 miles south of U.S. 211.
Trooper Perkey reported that Frye was driving south on Rt. 729 when he apparently lost control of his 1985 Dodge pickup truck, ran off the road and into a fence. Trooper Perkey estimated the accident caused about $500 damage to the fence owned by Hugh M. Exton and about $1,500 to the pickup truck. Mr. Frye was charged with reckless driving.
Sgt. Adams also reported th^it a Fredericksburg motorist was charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Rappahannock County. Trooper S. M. Knick stopped a 1987 Escort on suspicion of speeding about 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 20 on U.S. 211 near Route 640 and saw unusual behavior in the vehicle, Sgt. Adams said.
A search of the vehicle revealed a pipe and a small amount of marijuana and Eric Nels Zambrano, 33, was charged with possession by Trooper Knick.
