This part of the project includes the new culverts at the Covington River and a new bridge at the North Fork of the Thornton near Sperryville. Haynes Brothers hopes to be finished by September, 1993.

The supervisors were pleasantly surprised in July and August when they faced the chore of naming every road and right-of-way in the county. (The task must be done before a 911 Emergency System can be installed for the county.)

In neighboring counties the debate over road names has been at times rancorous and divisive. Not so here where the supervisors worked with the local fire departments to retain old road names wherever possible.
