Welby will be a senior at Wakefield Country Day School this fall. She is the daughter of Pamela Lynn and the late William Lynn who founded the school. WCDS sent seven representatives to the convention.
Besides the first place for the scrapbook Welby Was a member of an Open Certamen team which took second place. She won a first place for pen and ink drawings and second place awards for pastel and watercolors. She had fourth place in cartoons.
She won fifth place for academic competitions in Greek derivatives, Roman history, and Roman life, eighth place for Latin literature, ninth place for quotes and mottoes, and Latin derivatives, and tenth place for vocabulary and a creative essay.
Andrew Inglis won fifth place for mosaics for grades 6 through 8 and seventh place in Hellenic history. Nick Konick won seventh place in Roman life.
