Bobby Joe Frazier of Culpeper spent last week with April Reid at the home of ^April’s great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Acrey Dodson. Visiting with the children one day was Christine Dodson from Culpeper. 1

Cookbooks

Due to numerous requests for the cookbook, “Apples...Rappahannock Style,” the Extension Homemakers have reprinted the cookbook in time for the fall apple season. Proceeds from the sale of cookbooks will go towards the EHC scholarship hind. The Extension Homemaker Clubs give a scholarship each year at the RCHS graduation.
The cookbook includes recipes and tidbits of apple lore that were turned in by numerous Rappahannock County residents. Local artist, Geneva Welch, donated her time and talents to design the cover of the cookbook.
Copies of the cookbook are available at the Extension Office or by calling Betty Smith in Washington at 675-3592, Maybelle Gilkey in Chester Gap at 635-5472, and Mary Priest in Amissville at 937-4072. The cookbooks are $3.
