Needed

The Rappahannock Educational Assistance Program (R.E.A.P.), a volunteer service group, is in need of community members who are willing to extend themselves and commit to assisting the educational process at Rappahannock County High School. / Some identified areas of need are: one-on-one during study halls; tutoring at home; supervision in the new computer lab; zeroxing on a daily basis to free teachers for valuable i planning time; help with special projects; guest speakers in an area of expertise; regular assistance for special education students; teaching SAT prep classes in English and Math; coordinating music, art, and drama shows; general office help; lunch room supervision; sponsors for clubs, i.e. debate; computer assistance one-on-one; chaperones for field trips; expertise in foreign language/cultures; hall monitors on a daily basis; building, of storage shelves; hall bulletin boards/wall murals; to name a few.

Volunteer some time and energy in a warm environment with interesting professionals and dynamic young people, and invest a small part of yourself in our public schools.

Volunteer forms will be available in local businesses on Aug. 23. Please sign a form and bring it with you to a short meeting at 8 p.m. on Sept. 1 at RCHS or drop it off at the /RCHS office.
