Rep Wolf Relishes
New Opportunities

The 104th Congress will focus its early efforts on fulfilling its “Contract With America,” a task that Congressman Frank R. Wolf anticipates with relish.
After seven terms as a member of the minority party , the 10th District Republican said he doesn’t feel ‘ any different as the session begins this week.
But the switch from minority to majority leaves the Republicans with the task of governing, which Rep. Wolf seems keenly aware of. “Nobody gave us power. They gave us responsibility,” he said.'
The voters’ message in the rhidterm elections was accountability, he added. “They want us to do what we said we’d do...We have a responsibility to pass the Republican ’Contract.’”
The incoming chairman of the Transportation Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee plans to use his new position to accomplish several goals that have been stymied by the Democrats.
