was paired with George Mason in a game for third place in the tournament. At the end of the half the Panther squad was down only five points 37 to 32. They finished the game down by 7, 73 to 66.

Andre Fletcher again led the attack with 18 {joints. Ray Atkins added 16. Jason Settle had 15 points, and Jason Carter had 10. Jason Settle was named to the All Touma• mentteam.

National Christian Academy was the tournament champion.

Coach Eugenes Baltimore said he was particularly pleased with the team’s performance in this last game. “The first night against Seton in the first half we didn’t play well at all,” he said. “In the second half we picked the pace up, especially on defense and tired them out.”

He said in the second game on Wednesday, “We didn’t play well. They’re a very good team. They came in undefeated, but if we’d come out and played basketball we could have stuck with them the whole game.”

In the final game with George Mason, he said, “We played our best ball of the season. Even though we lost by seven points, we showed we can play one of the best teams in the district.”

Coach Baltimore said one of his goals for the season was to play games during the Christmas break “and have some good competition, and we did that.”
