addition special education requires the full time services of the school psychologist and about 75 percent of the school social worker’s time. It requires about 90 percent of the time of one of the secretaries in the central office and about 50 percent of the time of the Director of Pupil Personnel Services. There is one bus driver who has only special education students.
In addition I)r. Gangel estimates that about 20 percent of the time of the guidance counsellors at the two schools goes into special education, about 25 percent of the time of the elementary assistant principal and aboqt 10 percent of the time of the high school principal* He estimates that about 5 percent of his time and the assistant superintendent’s time is spent on special education. That might be nearly all his time for three days while he works on finding the best placement of one child. For the assistant superintendent it includes interviewing teachers and teachers’ aides to work with special education students.
