Rappahannock’s varsity boys’ basketball team picked up its third win last week with a first round victory over Seton in the Northern Virginia Daily Basketball Tournament played at Shenandoah University in Winchester,
This Tuesday night victory was followed by losses to Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy Wednesday night and George Mason Thursday night to leave the Panther squad in fourth place in the eight-team tournament.
In the 66 to 53 first round victory over Seton, the Panther squad fell behind in the first half 38 to 31. The team rallied in the second half to a 47 to 47 tie and then controlled the final period. At one point the Rapp team ran off II straight points.
Jason Settle led the team in scoring with 12 points, and Jason Brown had 10.
On Wednesday Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy defeated Rappahannock 73 to 57. Down by 12 points, 38 to 26 in the first quarter, and down 63 to 46 with five minutes left, the team battled back to to just nine points down, 65 to 56, with less than three minutes to go before succum^hg ro the eventual second

In tnat fame Andre Fletcher led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Settle had 15 points and 9 rebounds.
