Solomon Bruce .
Solomon Earl Bruce, 90, of Washington, died on Tuesday; July 1 at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Gid Brown Bible Church in Washington with Rev. John K Burke, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Bruce was bom July 1, 1907, in Rappahannock, son of Ada Bruce.
He was a lifelong farmer. He was married to the late Myrtle Mary Bruce.
Surviving are . four sons Solomon E. Bruce, Jr. of Luray, Samuel W. Bruce, Charles J. Bruce, and Thomas E. Bruce, all of Washington; four daughters Eleanor Davis Bruce Pullen and Jean May, both of Washington, Mary Ann .Leake of Chester Gap and Edna Fox of Luray; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grand*children.
Pallbearers were Tommy Pullen, Raymond Jenkins, Roy Pullen, Sr., Roy Pullen, Jr., Daniel Pullen, Walter Freeman and John Clark.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Pullen, Thomas Huff, James Freeman, Pete v Clanagan, Larry Glasker, Bobby Glasker and George Jordon.
Maddox Funeral Home in , Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
