The Washington Ladies Auxiliary would like to thank the people in the community for their support and donations to the thrift shop and bake sales.
By helping the Auxiliary you have made it possible for us to make a donation to the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Inc. of $48,181.31 toward the purchase of the new Luveme fire truck that will be arriving in July for the community.
The auxiliary had their July 4 bake sale at the thrift shop during the festivities. Donations for this event were greatly appreciated.
Anyone wishing to become a member of the Auxiliary is welcome. Meetings are held bi-monthly. Next meeting Aug. 12, 7 p.m.
The Auxiliary and Fife Company sincerely appreciate your support and donations that you have made.

In recognition of the good people in Rappahannock, I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped Monday evening June 23.
My name is Brooks. I was trying to ride a horse, that when mounted wanted to walk on his hind legs. My first attempts at walking upright as a baby resulted in falling on my bottom nine out of 10 times. This beast of burden decided to try this. I remember sliding down his back and landing on my bottom. When he realized that he too was falling, he decided to use me to cushion his fall. GREAT FOR THE HORSE! Bad for the person my daughter calls
