1 delegation from Madison

and Rappahannock JL AjCounties met in the offices of Senator Harry F. Byrd Jr., last Thursday, by appointment, together with Rep. John O. Marsh who made a special effort to be present, for discussion of the proposed Wilderness Area in Shenandoah National Park.

Twenty-one 4-H’ers of Rappahannock County are spending this week at Holiday Lake 4-H Camp in Appomattox.

A plea for Virginia farm families to observe safety precautions came today from G.D. Kite, extension agricultural engineer at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg.

Secretary of Agriculture Orville L. Freeman today announced U.S. export targets of 750 million bushels of wheat from both 1967 and 1968 crops.
