Joshua Smoot celebrated his 12th birthday on Friday, July 4th and was given a party on Saturday, July 5th by his parents Bobby and Connie Smoot, his sister Amanda and half-sister Samantha at their home.
On hand to help Joshua celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Smoot and Jason of South Carolina, Dolly, Ronnie, and Matthew Nicholson of Chester Gap, Wayne Baldwin and David Roberts of Madison, Joshua’s grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Baldwin and Cheryl Smoot, all of Sperryville and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Burke, Jeffrey, Charles and Krystal of Washington.
Joshua received many nice gifts. Area residents and friends wish him many more.
Sunday, July 13 through Wednesday, July 16 the 1997 Creative Worship Team of the Virginia Baptist Student Union Summer Missions Program consisting of five committed Christians dedicated to serve as missionaries to Virginia Baptist will have a series of inspirational programs starting at 7:30 nightly.
