' < Two major easement donations to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, recorded op Dec. 29, 1999, brings total ; daSement protection in - Rappahannock to 9,932 acres - seven percent of all privatelyowned land in the county. * 'One otthe December gifts, from Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Billy) F&rtnon, covers 700 acres on Battle and Little Battle Mountains, end includes both sides of both Battle Run and Route 729.
The other, from Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pearl, adds 347 acres to the area already easement-protected (including some of their property) along North Poes Road in Wakefield District. Both easement gifts restrict future subdivision (if any) to lots averaging 100 acres or a bit larger.

’ ,r Lord Fairfax Community College will be offering a “Survey qf Economics" (course #ECO120) dass on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School. The class will begin on Jan. 11 and continue for sixteen weeks.
