Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Dec. 31 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray with Pastor Frank Painter officiating.
Interment was in the Morning Star Lutheran Cemetery in Luray.
Harold Jenkins
Luray resident
Harold Burnett Jenkins, 91, of Luray died on Thursday, Dec. 16 at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 26, ' 1908 in Stanley and was a son of the late Burnett R. and Maude Mae Goodrich Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a funeral home attendant and was still an active employee at the Bradley Funeral Home, where he had worked for more than 43 years. He was a member of the Luray Fire Department and the Luray Christian Disciples of Christ Church.
On June 21, 1929, he married the former Lillian Lillard, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Frances Shackelford of Luray; a son, Frederick L. Jenkins of Alexandria; a brother, Warren F. Jenkins of Takoma Park, Md.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several cousins in the Rappahannock area.
He was predeceased by a sister, Elsie J. Pohle and a grandson.
Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, Dec. 19 at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by the Rev. Glenn E. Clements.
