Announcement #HR2100 Fauquier County Public School System is seeking to fill the position of Clerk of the Works. This position will assist in the development of short and long term construction projects and requirements; process/record bid openings, bids, contracts and related actions; process purchasing/invoicing documents; and provide general administrative support to the department. The position will also coordinate the use of maintenance and repair services; monitor progress and communicate with staff, inspectors and contractors; and will evaluate custodial services within the public schools.
Qualified applicants must possess the knowledge and ability tj) manage construction and maintenance projects to ensure quality work, on time and within budget parameters. Applicants must have excellent skills in planning, coordinating, reporting, reporting and supervising construction projects. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is necessary. Preferred applicants should have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and college level work in engineering, mechanics and/or electrical trades. .
